My journey in healthcare management began nearly a decade ago during my undergraduate studies, where I discovered my unwavering dedication to public health and my desire to positively impact communities in need. I pursued a master's program in Epidemiology, driven by the desire to explore, learn, and educate myself to contribute even more to population health and well-being. In collaboration with a strong team of epidemiologists, scientists, and medical professionals at Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Iran's top cancer research center, I have been honored to contribute to various research projects and development plans. Notably, working with international agencies on cancer has been the most rewarding aspect of my career, as we successfully revised and established cancer registries and screening programs in Iran. As an epidemiologist, I have honed my skills in data mining, statistical programming, and data analysis using R, Stata, and Arc GIS software. Additionally, my experience in designing and implementing population-based complex surveys has not only expanded my clinical and epidemiology knowledge but has also deepened my understanding of how community characteristics, individual behaviors, cultural norms, and beliefs collectively shape population health and well-being. Collaborating with the Ministry of Health, I have worked extensively with national databases, collecting data at various levels, from households to communities and countries, for both interventions and policies. This research has reinforced my commitment to promoting evidence-based practices and leveraging original data to drive policies and programs aimed at improving nutrition and public health. During the challenging period of the COVID-19 pandemic, I dedicated myself to several research projects focused on studying health inequality and COVID-19 mortality. Recently, I had the privilege of joining the International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) as a visiting scientist.
