My name is Matteo Franco and I am a research fellow in the Department of Clinical and Biological Sciences at the University of Turin. I have a bachelor\'s degree in physical therapy and later received my master\'s degree in health professions rehabilitation sciences. In 2022, my academic career began by awarding me a 1-year research grant at the Department of Clinical and Biological Sciences, University of Turin. For a year, I worked on the issue of returning to work a after cancer by conducting training, science dissemination, and research. After a year I was offered a contract renewal so that I could continue my research work. At that time, I enrolled in a 2-year master\'s degree program in epidemiology. During the course of study, I conducted a study on changes in physical activity over time according to socioeconomic position using data from the EPIC-italia cohort collimated into a scientific publication. In July this year, I participated in the call for PhD programme in Health sciences: sociology, nursing and rehabilitation sciences, winning a fellowship position. This coming November, I will finish my master\'s degree in epidemiology with graduation and, cosecutively, begin my career as a PhD student.
