I pursued my undergraduate studies in Mathematics at the University of Pavia, culminating in a thesis on countable-state-space Markov chains. Seeking to apply mathematics practically, I enrolled in Quantitative Finance at the University of Bologna for a year, but I immediately realised it was not my fit. Therefore, I decided to return to my passion for Mathematics, pursuing a Master's degree specialising in Stochastics and Data Science: since I have always been fascinated by the medical field, my Master's thesis delved into the classification of non-small cell lung carcinoma with PET imaging using convolutional neural networks. Currently, I am enrolled in both a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences and Oncology and a Second-level University Master's in Epidemiology, at the University of Turin. This dual enrolment underscores my commitment to expanding expertise at the intersection of biomedical research and epidemiology. My primary research focuses on developing prognostic models for prostate cancer: by integrating multi-modal data, we aim to develop and validate innovative models incorporating novel histopathological, digital, and molecular markers. The ultimate objective is to enhance the precision of clinical decisions in the management of prostate cancer patients.
