I am currently a postdoctoral researcher at the CIBER of Epidemiology and Public Health (CIBERESP). My doctoral thesis, which focused on the impact of socioeconomic inequalities in cancer, was defended in December 2023 in the program of Clinical Medicine and Public Health at the University in Granada. My research has resulted in 42 publications up to date in journals with JCR impact factor, in 6 of which I am first author. From these, I would like to mention the 4 articles of my PhD thesis (Cancers, Scientific Reports, International Journal for Equity in Health), 12 international collaborations within the EPIC project (BMC Medicine, Annals of Oncology, British Medical Journal, Lancet Diabetes and Endocrinology), and 9 articles as a second author (BMJ Open, BMC Cancer, Stata Journal). 28 of the 42 articles were published in high impact journals (Q1), and 32 are available as open access. With 1,464 overall cites, my h-index is 20. Besides research articles, I am an author of 2 book chapters in books, and I have presented 89 contributions in conferences, 42 of which oral presentations, 30 in international conferences, 59 in national conferences, 5 of which received an award or distinction. I have reviewed 12 articles for 8 journals with JCR impact factor, I have been in the review board of 3 conferences, and have participated in the evaluation of research projects of the Health Department of the Basque Country Government. I have experience in the dissemination of research, having taken several courses on this topic (“Disseminate AECC: from laboratory to society”) and participated in outreach activities like “Noche Europea de l@s Investigador@s”. The results of my PhD thesis were reflected in the Spanish media including RTVE (national TV), and some media in other languages as English, Chinese, Russian, Italian, French or Dutch. As a teacher, I have experience teaching courses on epidemiological and statistical methods.
