Marieke Pape was born in 1989 and graduated in 2007 from CSG Het Noordik in Almelo. She studied Biology and Biomedical Sciences at Utrecht University between 2007 and 2013. After performing research in different areas and broadening her horizon, she started her PhD on cancer epidemiology and medical oncology in 2019 at the Netherlands Comprehensive Cancer Organisation (IKNL) and Amsterdam UMC. Her PhD project is focused on treatment and survival in patients with esophagogastric cancer in the daily clinical practice.
