Maria-Eleni Syleouni comes from Greece, where she earned her BSc in Nursing Science at the University of Athens. In 2014, Maria-Eleni moved to Switzerland to pursue an MA in Health Sciences at the University of Lucerne, with a specialization in Health Economics and Health Policy. Her fascination with research utilizing medical data and statistics led her to further her studies, embarking on an MSc in Biostatistics at EBPI at the University of Zurich. Simultaneously, she worked as a research assistant at the Institute of Health Economics at ZHAW within the Health Technology Assessment group. In July 2020, she proudly graduated with her MSc in Biostatistics. Shortly thereafter, in August 2020, she commenced her doctoral journey at EBPI, under the guidance of Prof. Dr. Rohrmann, focusing her research endeavors on breast cancer mainly using cancer registry data.
