Nika Bric is a data manager and a graphic designer for the Slovenian Cancer Registry at the Institute of Oncology Ljubljana. She holds a BSc in Computer Science and an MSc in Graphic and Interactive Communications, both from the University of Ljubljana. A large part of her academic work was focused on looking at different aspects of visualising data. Her research in the field of cancer epidemiology and public health revolves around data processing and presentation. Her work for the Cancer Registry includes assessing possible delays in the process of oncological diagnosis and care and the effect of the COVID-19 epidemic on cancer burden and treatment and well as designing the Registry’s brand identity and different publications, such as Survival of Cancer Patients, Diagnosed in 1997-2016 in Slovenia and 70 Years of the Slovenian Cancer Registry.
